A team of sun-chasing, detail-loving creatives with a knack for turning vision into reality.
From corporate to creative
Allito Spaces was born from a bold leap. In 2012, founder Allison Garrison took an unconventional path and traded corporate America for an 18-month journey around the world. What started as a trip to Costa Rica evolved into an “Endless Summer” of surf and exploration across Panama, Colombia, Chile, the South Pacific, Southeast Asia, Indonesia, the Maldives, Africa, and beyond.
Along the way, she launched the first iteration of Allito Spaces as a textile business, collaborating with artisan weaving collectives in Kenya, Morocco, and Indonesia to design handwoven pillows. That chapter eventually closed, but it planted the seed for something bigger.
Backed by a degree in Finance and a Master’s in International Business, Allison returned to the U.S. and continued her career in digital marketing and customer experience for brands like TurboTax and Allergan, learning how to reduce friction, build trust, and surprise customers with moments of delight.
Today, she brings that same analytical mindset, adventurous spirit and joie de vivre to interior design in San Diego and beyond, blending a global design perspective with structured renovation project management to make luxury home renovations less overwhelming and far more joyful. From clear expectations to thoughtful, unexpected touches, Allito Spaces designs homes that are as effortless to live in as they are beautiful.

Allison specializes in creative direction, curating color schemes, mixing patterns, sourcing unique finds, space planning, and crafting innovative solutions to make the most of every space.
fun facts: Allison's explored over 40 countries, next up: Portugal! In the wild, she has swum with dolphins, whales, manta rays, and sharks—talk about an adventurous spirit! Growing up, her bedroom had a hammock for ultimate relaxation. 
Sourcing & styling guru
Ava Glassmeyer
Ava brings a natural instinct for styling and rounding out each design with thoughtful finish selections. She’s the go-to for sourcing just-right pieces, managing procurement with precision, and making sure every item—down to the last lamp or linen—fits seamlessly into the space.
fun facts: Ava grew up in Colorado as the ultimate tomboy, learning to be a true Jane of All Trades from her dad. Her love for the outdoors runs deep—and so does her passport stamp collection, with travels spanning from Southeast Asia to Japan. she’s also our resident dog whisperer, moonlighting as a trusted sitter for many of our clients' pups.
Tech wizard & expert project manager
Kristin Dodson
Kristin specializes in technical drawings and project management, ensuring timelines are met, communication stays clear, and every detail is executed to the highest standard. She is the steady hand that keeps projects on track, bringing a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of construction to the table.
fun facts: Kristin's love for construction began in 4th grade, when a home addition project led her to a drywall lesson (much to her parents' dismay) from a friendly contractor on the job site. As a twin, she has a unique perspective on how people are wonderfully different. The most enchanting place she’s ever visited? Santiago de Compostela in Spain, a truly magical city.
