An endless art collection, a love of mid-century, Art Deco and vintage design, and an obsession with music all played into how we pulled together this colorful home that is always ready for a party. From Mexican folk art to a huge collection of vintage lunchboxes that had previously been tucked away in the garage, we made sure the homeowners’ favorite pieces were given a place to shine throughout the house. In the front, guests can settle in and listen to records, while the back of the house is set up for the homeowner to mix and serve some of his favorite cocktails. With kids, a dog, a cat and frequent guests all part of the equation, smart fabric choices and low-maintenance materials make sure the home can handle real life without sacrificing any of its personality.
